A beautiful church with friendship at its heart. St. Clement’s welcomes and offers friendship. I can be myself, be known and get to know others easily. My home group offers similar fellowship with friends and with God. I love our close community and the way we welcome others. St. Clement’s isn’t especially big – there is usually about 70 on a Sunday morning – but there is a great diversity of age and class and background – that’s one of the things I especially like about it.
I love the mixedness – a church that welcomes families but isn’t a family church – a church that welcomes students but isn’t a student church – a church that really does welcome every kind of person from every kind of background.
A decent cup of Fairtrade coffee after morning services is always good and my children were always made to feel very welcome from my first visit. St. Clement’s is like my family. I need them when I am down! Home group is a safe place, to be me, to listen to others, to explore and to pray. It also often involves cake! It is warm and welcoming, a great place to make friends and meet with God.
There’s a great variety about St. Clement’s – a mix of people from all kinds of different backgrounds. I really like that.
