Serving our community

Our church is for everyone

We love to be part of our local community – including through Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals, our Baby and Toddler Group, Oxford Debt Centre and more…

We’d be delighted to help with enquiries about baptisms or dedications, weddings and funerals at St Clement’s.

  • Baptisms or dedications – we’d love to chat to you about planning and going to a Church of England baptism (sometimes also called christening).
  • Weddings – if you’re getting married and are considering St Clement’s Church we’d be very happy to arrange to meet. Get in touch with us.
  • Funerals – marking the end of a person’s life can be a difficult time. If you’d like to talk to us about a funeral at St Clement’s Church please get in touch with us

Our Baby and Toddler group has been running for many years and is a warm, welcoming group

  • It takes place every Thursday during the school term from 9:30am-11:30am.
  • We meet at the St Clement’s Centre, Cross Street, OX4 1DA.
  • Each week we serve free refreshments, including tea and coffee for parents.
  • We have lots of toys including a toddler trampoline, climbing frame, and roller toys, as well as a new craft each week to do with your little one.

We support a range of mission partners agencies who work in Oxford, the UK and across the world. For example:

  • Oxford Churches Debt Centre – supporting people to overcome financial difficulties.
  • Prison Fellowship – showing Christ’s love to people in prison by coming alongside them and supporting them.
  • Centre for Muslim-Christian Studies – bringing Muslims and Christians together through dialogue and study.
  • A Rocha – a Christian conservation charity working to protect and restore the natural world.
  • Viva Doorsteps – connecting churches and organisations in Oxfordshire to respond creatively and practically to the needs of under-resourced children, young people, and families.

Working in partnership with Christians Against Poverty (CAP), the Oxford Churches Debt Centre (OCDC) is run from an office in the St Clement’s Centre.

  • You can arrange to have a home visit from an Oxford Churches Debt Centre Debt Coach.
  • You could enrol on the CAP Life Skills course which is run once or twice a year.
  • Even if you’re not in debt, for anyone who wants to get control of their money CAP Money Coaching is run regularly in different partner churches.
